Rob Hileman’s Bow and Arrow Choke
Join Fight 2 Win athlete Rob Hileman and learn his signature bow and arrow choke
The technique starts when your opponent begins to shed your hooks after you have their back. When he gets too far outside of your legs, you begin to move around to get parallel with your opponent, getting belly down, maintaining your arm position and staying tight to their shoulder. You then suck your elbow under and build your opponent up into a seated position.
At this point, you could tilt your partner to the right, giving yourself the option of the crucifix. Rob prefers to acquire the collar as he is seating his opponent upright, then grab his opponent’s opposite pant leg at the knee. From here, you circle them, allowing your knee to land in the hole behind his head. You then step up and get both knees in, building your wall, and finally finish the bow and arrow choke.
The bow and arrow choke is a very effective submission that comes on quickly, making your opponent tap as soon as you secure it.
